Koi to Senkyo to Chocolate ~ Review

Koi to Senkyo to Chocolate ~ Review

“A romantic love story with chocolates and…politics?!”

Isn’t it just so handy when the title of the anime basically explains the overall plot of the story? I mean, there aren’t a lot of them. But when they appear it makes writing a review¬†so¬†much more easier. Anyways, I just wanted to say that before we began this review, because of course it applies to this particular series right here. And if you’re aware of this series then you’ll be well aware that this is not just any romance stories. No… in fact, this is a very unique love story. Very unique indeed.

Hoshizora e Kakaru Hashi ~ Review

Hoshizora e Kakaru Hashi ~ Review

“A romantic comedy that is full of drama, comedy and fluffy goodness”

As it may seem fairly obvious from the picture that I have used above to open up this review, this is another ecchi, harem romantic comedy stories, with lots of fan service and romantic elements. I will explain some stuff later so let’s move onto the synopsis.

Hoshizora e Kakaru Hashi revolves around Kazuma Hoshino, who has moved out into the country with his younger brother, as he meets and becomes close to the residents there. He makes a couple of guy friends, but meets a lot of new, interesting female friends with various personalities and traits. As the female characters get closer to Kazuma, they feel themselves starting to change feelings for him.

The anime uses a wide range of female characters and back stories to create natural dramatic elements in the plot

The title is literally translated as “A Bridge To the Starry Sky”, and although the anime (and the original visual novel on which the anime was based on) received high reviews for ts use of drama and character development effectively within the romantic plot and twists, unfortunately the anime series is not very well known to the online anime community; many fans have quoted that “the anime ought to be more well-known, but fail to get the attention of viewers thinking it is just another romantic comedy anime”. Although that may be true, I also believe that the series deserves more attention as I quite like his anime and its story.

The biggest selling point of this anime is definitely the art style used as well as its clever use of drama; although it is mostly romance centered, it continues to use dramatic elements in it to create natural character development and plot development. If you dig your romantic comedies and dramas, then I definitely recommend this series to you.

The Final Judgement:

Recommendation Level: 4.5/5 – Strongly Recommended
